Meet The Team!
Lindsay Deane (RCC, RSW, MSW)
Clinic Owner
Hi! I am Lindsay, and about 9 years ago I took a leap and moved from Ontario to BC. I spent most of my time exploring the mountains around the sea-to-sky and lower mainland area (the traditional and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, & Kwikwetlem People). My passion has always been for helping others, and so after spending time in the "Whistler bubble", I began my journey towards becoming a counsellor.
I have spent time working in various mental health settings, including; the Vancouver Crisis Centre, working with folks with concurrent disorders, working with adults who have been found NCRMD, counselling adolescents in a treatment centre, counselling in elementary schools, as well as working in a family counselling program. These experiences, and life, have taught me that we all have an inner wisdom, but sometimes negative life experiences can make us lose sight of this. I primarily operate from an individualized approach, meaning, I tailor my support in a way that is focused on meeting your needs. Most of all, I am committed to developing a professional, safe, and therapeutic relationship - one where we can explore, and get you feeling like your whole self (while maybe even sharing some laughs along the way).
In 2021, with my husband and dog in tow, we decided to make the move to Kelowna area (the Sylix Okanagan territory). In my spare time you can find me frolicking anywhere outside, reading a good book (a mid 20's created obsession), spending time with my chosen family, or painting.

Hello, and welcome! My name is Taylor and I have a passion for supporting individuals through all of life’s challenges. Over the last two years, I have dedicated myself to guiding children, families, and adults through traumatic and challenging experiences, discovering along the way the remarkable resilience and wisdom each person possesses. Life often presents us with obstacles that can hinder our pursuit of fulfilling relationships, careers, or milestones. When we feel these pressures, it can be easy to fall into protective habits that may inhibit us from pursuing and achieving our goals.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in a relational approach, incorporating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing. You can expect a safe, relaxed, and nonjudgmental space where I will honor your journey and offer compassionate support as we navigate life’s challenges together.
Beyond the counselling office, you might catch me playing in volleyball leagues around the city, exploring new trails, indulging (a little too much) in my love for an iced coffee, or cherishing moments with my family.

Adverse Childhood Experiences
Hi! I’m Alyssa,
I was born and raised in BC and am proud to call Kelowna my home. I have a deep passion for supporting others through their adversities and life challenges. I have been a social worker for over a decade. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working across a variety of mental health and social service settings, including domestic violence, child protection, family law, and youth and family counselling. These experiences have shaped not only my clinical perspective but also my profound respect for the resilience people carry, even in their most challenging times.
Much of my work has been centered around childhood trauma, and I’ve seen firsthand how early experiences, such as neglect, abuse, or chronic family conflict, can ripple into adulthood. These early wounds often show up later as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, trust issues, or challenges in relationships. My clinical understanding of the long-term impact of early adverse experiences informs my integrative approach, which emphasizes nervous system regulation, attachment patterns, and the relationship between developmental trauma and current functioning.
I approach this work with cultural humility and an unwavering commitment to creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and understood. I believe that healing starts when one feels safe and supported. This is why I take on a person-centered therapeutic approach, which includes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, allowing clients to feel understood without judgment.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me spending time with my family. I’m a mom to a very energetic two-year-old, so my weekends are often filled with beach days, park visits, biking, and exploring local trails.
